Why Costa Rica

This makes for an array of stunning views for travelers. There is a chain of mountains that forms a backbone running the length of Costa Rica. It begins in the north with the Guanacaste "Cordillera" (mountain range), and continues with the Tilaran Cordillera (where Monteverde and Arcnal are located), and the Central Cordillera (Irazu, Poas, Braulio Carrillo), before ending at the southern Talamanca Cordillera (which is the highest in the country)

While the Pacific coastline is almost 780 miles (1,254 km) long, the Caribbean coast only stretches 132 miles (212 km). Two hilly peninsulas (the Osa Peninsula and the Nicoya Peninsula) can be found on the Pacific coast. There are two large gulfs, and many small coves and bays. Two major commercial ports are located on the Pacific: Puntarenas and Puerto Caldera. On the Caribbean, there is a natural harbor in Moin, located in the area of Limon. It is the largest area of lowland plains (about one-fifth of the area of Costa Rica), which runs from the northern coastline almost all the way to Limon

Costa Rica boasts the highest percentage (25%) of protected areas in the world. Forest Reserves, Biological Reserves, Nature Shelters and, of course. National Parks. This is another reason why many Europeans and North Americans have made this land their home and currently comprise around 1% of the total Costa Rican population.

Known as the "Switzerland of the Americas," Costa Rica has a strong democratic tradition and a long history of dispute resolution. Owing in part to their impressive 95 percent literacy rate and national education system, Costa Ricans are a self-assured and hospitable people.

The last World Bank's survey for Political Stability sets up Costa Rica in the first place for Latin America and the 23rd place among 186 countries from all over the world.

Costa Rica's weather is enjoyable year round. Average temperature range in San Jose goes from 14 to 24 degrees

Centigrade (57 to 75 Fahrenheit) in December, and 17 to 27 degrees (63 to 81 Fahrenheit) in May. The Caribbean coast averages 21°C (70°F) at night, and over 30°C (86°F) during the day. The Pacific coast is hotter than the Caribbean, but is less humid

The combination of rest places and adventure activities (golf, fishing, surfing, rafting, canopy, etc) make this country an ideal place to stay.

Costa Rica: country of natural beauty

Costa Rica occupies first place in ecological tourism in the world.

Costa Rica represents 1% of the planet's surface and contains 5% of the world's biodiversity.

25% of the country's territory is protected as national parks or biological reservations.

34 national parks are distributed throughout the country.

Over 1000 varieties of orchids, and 845 varieties of birds can be found in the country.

Fauna includes; jaguars, pumas, agouties, green turtles, three species of monkeys, crocodiles and sloth's.

Currently Costa Rica is experiencing a property boom, created by variety of factors such as: rapidly increasing interest among Americans and Europeans, safety and stability and unique nature. In some areas (like Guanacaste) annual growth in property value is around 50%. This could be considerably increased if you buy property off-plan or before completion.
